His Delight

Delight is one of my favorite words of all time. It is a word that is often highlighted in my Bible from times when certain passages have been extraordinarily meaningful to me. 

The idea that anything I can do can be delightful to GOD is just overwhelming to me, so I love the second half of this verse saying that the prayer of God's children brings Him delight! 

Sgraffito through the acrylic gloss gel with white paint allowed me to suggest the prayers ascending from many sources, and the exposed color expresses His (and my) delight!



Proverbs 15:8 (NASB) The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
