In Situ Pictures

Image
In Peace This evening, I am going to post something completely different here on my blog. Because this week has been full of twists and turns, mini adventures and opportunities to solve significant problems (!) , I have had very little studio time.  So, I have decided to share several pictures of my paintings digitally placed in living and working spaces - in situ, in other words. I hope you enjoy today's different format. Click the title of each photo to see the blog post about that painting and the paypal link.

Be Still Landscape

Image
Be Still Landscape "You ARE going to be busy!" my Beloved Husband said to me this morning as we shared some time on the couch with our coffee and calendars. I love the time we spend in the mornings, and it is well worth getting up at "zero-dark-thirty", as I have heard it called. We were discussing my next couple of months' art calendar. Whew! (see my upcoming events at the bottom of this post) Not only is my art life packed for the next stretch of weeks, our personal life will be full of challenges, too, as both of our adult kids move and start seminary (!), and we do our best to help them. My in-laws head back south during this time too, and also we have some new responsibilities to cover. My brother and sister-in-law, along with my niece and some friends threw a HUGE surprise birthday party for my mom! And it was actually a surprise, I am delighted to say. We worked together from Utah, Minnesota, and Indiana to pull things together, so it was no small thing.  Anyway, Mom's party was a week and a half ago, and I am still using it as my excuse for being behind with my work! *wink* I try to paint at least three days a week, and preferably five days, and I have not gotten as much painting in as I like to. BUT, it was so worth it. NLA 12" x 12" Painted with the finest quality acrylic heavy-body paint on canvas panel Ready to frame This cheerful painting is painted over another work that just didn't cut it. Actually, there are a lot of those, but the great thing is, they eventually turn into some of my fav
