Refuge

Image
Refuge Psalm 61:1-4 (New American Standard Bible) Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.  Selah. No longer available 11" x 14" on panel ready to frame The world news lately has been stunning. Many are enduring suffering weightier than any I have had. My heart aches for families of those killed, and those who are rioting in the USA. It aches for the victims of the earthquake in Nepal. For the families of the girls kidnapped in Nigeria, and for the families of the Christian martyrs killed by militant terrorists, for the families of those who find their identity in participation of these and other crimes - for these I also feel pangs of sorrow.  I also have friends and family that are

Still around...

Collage of recently sold work Yes, it has been a very long time since I have posted anything much on my blog! I have had the privilege of being more involved in the "art world", and consequently have had a lot less time in the studio. As much as I enjoy meeting and interacting with people, and sharing my art in new ways, I really, REALLY miss being in my studio! The collage here (very easily made using Picmonkey - you should try it!) is a grouping of my work sold in the last week or two. Each sale was so special to me. Each one will have memories connected with it for me. And in each case, I feel that more was going on than just "selling a painting". It has been a great privilege to be able to share my work that points to my Heavenly Father with those who now have these reminders in their homes or workplace! And now, although I still have several new opportunities in front of me, I am heading to my studio! Have a day of seeing beauty, and enjoying the One

Spring shows!

I have been so very busy getting ready for several spring shows! (AND going to Florida to retrieve our 'snowbirds'!) Here is a collage of some of the works that will be shown in the next couple of weeks. I hope to finish framing, labeling, pricing, and so on in the next day or two so that I can get back to PAINTING!
