It would seem like an easy thing to just add some purple crayon to that painting, just so that the name makes more sense. Wouldn't you think?

My daughter gave me a delightful gift last Christmas. Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson. I loved that book as a child! Have you read it? It spurred my imagination as a child, and I think I like it even more as an adult.
