1951 Mercury Hood Ornament

1951 Mercury Hood Ornament
And here is the fourth of the series of antique hood ornaments from my husband's collection. It has struck me that painting them at different times has led to different approaches to the paintings.

Each was painted with the same group of colors:
Matisse Australian Sky Blue
Winsor & Newton Phthalo Green Yellow shade
Golden Permanent Violet Dark
Matisse Paynes Grey
Matisse Titanium White

It has been a fun exercise, and maybe I will eventually paint all of his collection!

10 x 10 acrylic on watercolor paper,
