Whisper is a little abstract painted on a panel that is a reminder to me of a recent experience of whispered faith and hope in a dark time. I really do not want to be melodramatic about it, so I will just say that I have had another chance to listen for the Whisper from my Heavenly Father reminding me of His faithfulness.

Shortly after going through the darkest of these times, I posted this status on Facebook: My heart felt bruised. All was black. I wasn't sure I could ask HIM for help, since I doubted. But during the night, HE lit the lamp of hope in me. I woke several times in anticipation. HE is faithful when I am not. Praise HIM. (Thoughts on a struggle that I have been facing recently. I am so glad my Heavenly Father is in control! HE is my Hope and my delight!)

Please pardon me for getting a bit long-winded here, but I would also like to include some words from a hymn that was sung this past Sunday at the church we attend

My faith has found a resting place,
  Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
  His wounds for me shall plead.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
  This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
  He’ll never cast me out.

My heart is leaning on the Word,
  The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
  Salvation through His blood.

My great Physician heals the sick,
  The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
  For me His life He gave.

I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,

    And that He died for me.
