Any Day Now 102 - Sunny Morning

Update: I changed both names! If you are paying close attention, you will notice that I have released Any Day Now after I already started the series yesterday with another painting with almost the same title. Well, I warned you that I might decide to change some things with this series, and I think that may be happening already, and this is just the second painting in the group! I have an idea of what I want to do, but since I am still mulling it over, I won't brag about it quite yet. Ha!

Today I have used the same color palette and the same substrate and have come up with a completely different kind of painting. I do find it interesting how dissimilar the colors can look just by mixing them in another way and by how they combine in the painting. 

As of today, I still plan to use the same passage from the New Testament for the whole series. Do you think I will stick with that choice?

John 14: 1-3  “Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also."

My hope is to have 20 small paintings by the end of October for Any Day Now. I normally only paint on the weekdays, and often not on the days I am working on the administrative side of being an artist, so it will keep me on my toes! I am looking forward to it. 

So, for today, here are the two paintings in the series, though I will most likely paint over yesterday's work if I continue with a new plan. Talk to you tomorrow!
