"How are we going to do this?" we asked each other. I have a great opportunity to support a charity in partnership with some friends, and we were trying to figure out how to work out an auction for this painting, Up #2, with all proceeds to go to support the mission. We think that, with a little virtual legwork, we have a working solution.

With the idea of new adventures, designed by God Himself for each of His dear children, I chose to paint this work with a feel of a landscape, a distant waterfall, and a sweet spot of the perfect adventure there on the horizon. I wanted to express color and excitement, as well as hope and aspiration to reach UP! to what is ahead and beyond the daily routine.
