I guess I am kind of joining the snoman craze I have seen on Daily Paintworks lately - but not exactly. This snowman showed up in caricature a couple of years ago on our family Christmas cards!

My little snowman is considering this poem by Christina Rosetti:

In the Bleak Midwinter
In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.
What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
Yet what I can I give Him: give my heart.

  1. Your snowman on the Art Party today gave me a smile. Thank you for posting. Lover your cartoons too.

    1. Thanks so much (and thanks for hosting the 'party'!) I hand colored ALL of my cards that year! Whew!
