Surprise opportunity to exhibit my work

Our local artist group, Lakeland Art Association has invited me to exhibit as part of a two person show coming up THIS FRIDAY, showing for the month of March. There was another artist scheduled to exhibit for this occasion, but he has had an unavoidable situation that is preventing him from being there. I feel honored to be able to fill in!

I plan to have at least eight or ten works displayed in this new-to-me downtown space, and I wonder if you have any favorites that you would like to see there. It is always a little bit of a juggling act to make sure that the paintings exhibited in one location aren't scheduled to show in another place for the duration of the show, so there is always a bit of extra paperwork to get figured out. I plan to have sizes from 48" square down to 4" square - something for everyone! Should I take any representational paintings?

Spring at Baintertown

In other news, I currently have about six paintings in progress, and the one closest to being ready to release is a large 48" x 48" acrylic on canvas that has been underway for months! If you follow my social media, you may have seen that I have just gotten over the flu, and that has delayed my work on these paintings. I have finally, in the last three days, had the strength to get back to work, and boy! do I love that!

All right - I apologize for this different kind of post that is just sharing older work with this announcement, but as you might imagine, I have my work cut out for me in the next couple of days! If you are in northern Indiana, please come to the new Lakeland Art Association gallery space at 119 S Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN. Gallery hours are scheduled for 11:30 - 4:30 Wednesday through Saturday.
