That news I was telling you about

Prayers & Promises (click here to view on my website)
 Last week, I mentioned that I had news to share, and before I finished telling you what I wanted to say, all of a sudden it was time for my newsletter to go out, and I had missed my chance. The big news that I wanted to share is the my painting Prayers & Promises is in this year's The Best of Acrylic magazine, part of Artists Magazine and American Artist. I decided to purchase a digital copy of the magazine (paper copies should be available in bookstores later this month) and found that my painting has A WHOLE PAGE! (p. 111, if you're looking for it) Wow, what an honor!

You may remember seeing this one a time or two before. It was also in the inaugural Acrylic International Biennial Juried Exhibition, 2022 in Kenosha, WI; Fort Wayne Artist Guild Ventures Competition 2021, (2rd place oil or acrylic painting); and the 92 County Art Show 2022, (Honorable Mention painting) in Wabash, IN. It is definitely a favorite!

Chronicles
Along with that news, I also was notified that my painting from 2022 called Chronicles  has been accepted into the SALI National Abstract Art Exhibition XIX. It is in Indianapolis for a month or so in company with a lot of really good abstract paintings!

And, of course, I have been busily working on "the Hope Project", my paintings that are commissioned for the new hospital space here in Northern Indiana. I have been realizing that it is a LOT of square inches that I am painting! But, of course, I am loving it so much.

On my social media accounts (primarily Instagram and Facebook) I have been sharing my small New Every Morning paintings, and have just started sharing some of my biggest paintings from past years. I invite you to click any of these links to visit my website and shop for early gifts, or that perfect painting for your home or office! I find great value in filling my spaces with beautiful things that are meaningful to me, and I hope that you can appreciate the meaning in my paintings.

And I will close with a couple of verses from the Psalms that have been meaningful to me this week:

Psalm 34:4-5 I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and rescued me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant with joy;
their faces will never be ashamed.

Psalm 38:15
For I put my hope in you, Lord;
you will answer me, my Lord, my God.
