Good Repute

"Do you like it?" "Um. Yeah." "What does it need?" "Maybe more dark." This conversation happened with my 24 year old son. He is not really at all fond of abstract paintings, but has a pretty good handle on good composition and is enjoying (to some degree) learning what makes work 'good'. He would tell you that he likes Mom's paintings, (because he is loving and loyal - like his sister and his dad). So when he actually LIKES something (even if he isn't particularly enthusiastic), I consider that a good sign.
