Open House Prep!

From the Heart, 2019.
Things are getting serious now, let me tell you! I am hanging work, ordering supplies, and doing lots of computer work, all trying to be prepared for my Open House Valentine's Day weekend.

James 1:17 Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning.

Painted with the finest quality heavy-body acrylic paint on acid-free, heavy weight Fabriano watercolor paper

It is invigorating to do all of the preparation, but I sure do miss the studio time. I have a few works in progress, and I know my next steps on those paintings, and it is challenging to leave them and do what I have to do! But it's a good problem to have.

Our family's world/life has been spinning so fast this week, and I have discovered something a little surprising to me. I find that I am less anxious when I have more craziness going on... at least this time that is true. Ha! I don't really know any way to explain it other than to say that I can tell that God is moving right now in our lives. He always is, of course, but sometimes we can feel it in a different way. I actually got a notification that I was not advancing in the jurying process for a big art commission, and I was so grateful, because I know for sure that it is His direction for me.

Psalm 143:8 Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning;
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul.

I want to invite you again to come to my Open House if you live nearby. I manage the event in such a way that I can consider it my gift to you! I want each person who comes through my door to know that I greatly appreciate their presence and the time they take to view my work. So thank you to all who can come!
